Η πρώτη αυτογονιμοποιούμενη ποικιλία που δίνει αξιόπιστη και μεγάλη παραγωγή.
Μεγάλου μεγέθους (διπλάσιοι σε μέγεθος από την ποικιλία 'Jenny', πολύ εύγεστοι καρποί που συλλέγονται Οκτώβριο με τέλη Νοεμβρίου.
Γρήγορης ανάπτυξης, φτάνει σε ύψος τα 4-5 μέτρα και αντέχει έως -15C.
Καρποφορεί σε ξύλο προηγούμενης χρονιάς και γι΄αυτό είναι απαραίτητο το κλάδεμα το Χειμώνα, κόβοντας κάθε καρποφόρο βλαστό στους 3-4 οφθαλμούς.
Οφέλη
Το ακτινίδιο περιέχει διπλάσια ποσότητα σε βιταμίνη C από τα πορτοκάλια και είναι επίσης εξαιρετική πηγή βιταμίνης Α, αλλά και βιταμίνης Ε, που είναι απαραίτητες για λαμπερή και υγιή επιδερμίδα, καθώς επιβραδύνουν την διαδικασία της γήρανσης και προστατεύουν τα κύτταρα από φθορές.
Περιέχει επίσης βιταμίνες του συμπλέγματος Β, οι οποίες βοηθούν σε μεγάλο βαθμό στην υγιή λειτουργία του εγκεφάλου αλλά και το φυλλικό οξύ, το οποίο παρεμποδίζει τις γενετικές ανωμαλίες στα έμβρυα.

The Kiwi 'Solissimo' is the first "self-fertile" kiwi that reliably delivers yields. The fruit size of the variety descending from 'Hayward' is also significantly improved.
In the first years of cultivation, light winter protection is recommended. Once established, the kiwi 'Solissimo' also forms metre-long shoots in the summer.
Summer pruning in June/July is therefore not a recommendation, but obligatory for this variety too. The measure promotes flowering in the following year and, in contrast to winter pruning, tends to inhibit growth, which can increase yield and harvest volume.
Hardy to -15 degrees Celsius. SOLISSIMO® becomes 3 to 4 meters high.
