The material

A natural material that balances moisture and aeration

Sphagnum fibres absorb water and create a humid root environment without losing the lightweight, open structure needed by fine and aerial roots.

Sphagnum moss

Natural organic Sphagnum spp. material with no added fertiliser, from ECOCERT-certified cultivation.

100% sphagnum moss: The full composition consists of sphagnum fibres with no added potting mix.
High moisture retention: The fibres hold water and release it gradually where the material is used.
Mildly acidic pH: Suited to orchids, carnivorous plants and other species that prefer an acidic environment.
No added fertiliser: Nutrition is supplied separately according to the plant and its growth stage.

Preparation & use

Before use

Hydrate it in four simple steps

Use clean water and prepare only the amount you need. The material should be evenly moist, not dripping wet.

01Submerge it in clean water

Leave it until fully saturated and expanded.

02Drain the excess

Squeeze gently so the fibres remain moist without dripping water.

03Place it without over-compacting

Around roots, cuttings or inside a moss pole, leave enough space for air to move through.

04Check moisture in real conditions

Rehydrate when needed according to the plant, temperature and airflow around the setup.

Sphagnum inside the pole does not replace the potting mix in the pot

Fill the inside of the moss pole with moist sphagnum. In the pot, use the appropriate potting mix for the plant and do not treat continuously wet sphagnum as a general-purpose potting base.
