Ventilated Covers for Aroid Pots

The black Ventilated Cover turns the transparent PlantScraper Aroid Pot into an elegant, single plant setup, visually hiding the rhizosphere from direct light without canceling the side ventilation of the pot. Its clean lines organize the shelf or grow rack, while the two-piece construction keeps everyday use practical.

The cover that works with the pot

Shields the roots from light. Maintains airflow.

The transparent Aroid Pot is placed inside the ventilated black housing. Vertical slits allow air to circulate around the pot, while the outer surface limits direct exposure of the roots to light.

The top surrounds the compatible Aroid Pot without becoming a closed cachepot.
The lower part collects only the drops left after draining.
The two parts align and connect magnetically.
The system is ventilated and does not turn the pot into a self-watering one.

A critical distinction: the bottom is a drip tray — not a reservoir. We don't leave water inside and we don't water the pot while it remains assembled on the base.

The cover's side slits allow air to circulate around the ventilated Aroid Pot.

What does each part do?

The top and bottom have a different function. Their correct use maintains both the ventilation and the clean appearance of the system.

Upper part

Ventilated outer cover

It surrounds the compatible Aroid Pot, leaves open paths for air and covers the transparent rhizosphere from direct light.

Lower part

Drip tray for residual drops

It stays in place when watering and only receives the drips that may be left after the pot has drained.

Magnetic connection for alignment

Magnets keep cover and base in line and allow you to lift the top together with the pot when it's time to water.

Each cover is designed for the corresponding PlantScraper Aroid Pot. The diameter listed on the variant is for the compatible pot size; the lower drip tray is of course wider.

Watering in four steps

Lift it from the base, water, then return it

Watering is done outside the assembled cover. So the substrate drains properly and the bottom doesn't accidentally turn into a reservoir.

Pick up cover and pot together

Firmly hold the top vented part together with the Aroid Pot and remove them from the magnetic base.

Water in a sink or tray

Water the pot in a suitable place, without the lower drip tray and without leaving the setup assembled.

Let the water drain

Wait for the heavy runoff to stop so that only any residual drops reach the base.

Return it to the base

Lower the cover and pot onto the bottom and let the magnets realign the system.

It is not a self-watering system

Do not fill the bottom with water and do not let the base act as a permanent reservoir. The product is the vented version with a drip tray, not a sealed cover.

Ventilated means a different way of growing

When is it the right choice?

The cover is intended for setups where you want the lateral ventilation and the natural drying cycles of the substrate to remain active.

Best suited for

Aroid mixes, Anthuriums and moss-pole setups

It is the logical choice when breathing around the pot is a priority and you don't want a permanent supply of water from an external reservoir.

What it does not offer

Sealed reservoir or passive self-watering

The ventilated cover does not store water and does not feed the substrate through a wick. Drainage water should be removed, not left on the base.

Durable PETG

For humid environments and daily use

PETG is suitable for the constant humidity encountered in an indoor plant setup and maintains its functionality in long-term use.

The Ventilated Cover is only available in black, for a unified minimal image and clean contrast with the foliage.

Cleaning and checking

A little care in the two points that count

Runoff and scale accumulate mainly on the base, while the magnetic contacts need a clean and dry surface for proper contact.

Empty the drip tray

Do not allow standing water in the base. Wipe it as soon as residual drops appear.

Clean gently

Use lukewarm water, a soft cloth and, when necessary, a small amount of mild soap. Rinse well.

Dry the contact points

Before reconnecting the two parts, make sure the magnets and the contact surfaces are clean and dry.

01Which size should I choose?

Choose the same nominal size as your PlantScraper Aroid Pot: cover 10 cm for 10 cm pot, 12 cm for 12 cm, 14 cm for 14 cm and 16 cm for 16 cm. The diameter of the lower drip tray is larger and is listed separately in the size guide.

02Does it fit pots from other brands?

The cover is specially designed for PlantScraper Aroid Pots. The nominal diameter alone does not guarantee a correct fit in a third-party pot, because the rim, height and taper may vary.

03Can I water while the system is assembled?

No. Lift the top cover and pot together, water in a sink or tray, let the water drain, then replace them on the magnetic base.

04Can I put water in the bottom?

No. The bottom part only works as a drip tray for residual drops. It is not a reservoir, it does not create a self-watering system and it should not hold standing water.

05Does the cover block the ventilation of the Aroid Pot?

The ventilated construction has side slits to keep air circulating around the pot. This is the main characteristic that differentiates it from a traditional closed cachepot or sealed cover.

06Can I still check the roots?

Yes, but the black cover hides them while the pot is inside. For a visual check, lift the top assembly off the base and carefully remove the clear Aroid Pot from the cover.

07Is it available in white?

This particular product is only available in black and in four sizes: 10, 12, 14 and 16 cm.

08Is it suitable for outdoor use?

The manufacturer describes it for long-term indoor use and does not claim permanent UV or weather resistance. That is why it is intended for indoor plant setups.

09Is the Aroid Pot included?

No. The package includes only the black ventilated cover and the corresponding lower drip tray. The transparent Aroid Pot, plant, substrate and other accessories are sold separately.
