LECHUZA Classic System

Self-watering hidden inside a decorative cover

The self-watering system is located in the removable plant liner. The provided LECHUZA-PON covers the separation base and transfers moisture to the roots, while the filling shaft directs water into the reservoir and the MIN/MAX indicator makes the level immediately visible.

The plant liner is lifted by the recessed handles for easier planting, transport, and cleaning.
For the first approximately 12 weeks, water from the top until the roots reach the moisture zone.
After rooting, fill the water reservoir from the filling shaft up to the MAX.
When the indicator reaches MIN, the dry phase follows, which the particular plant needs before the next filling.

The plant liner lifts out as one piece

The plant liner is lifted by the handles, so that transplanting, water reservoir inspection, and cleaning are made easier.

Changes appearance without new transplanting

The planted plant liner can be transferred to a TRENDCOVER Leather or Cork of the same size, changing the look without disturbing the roots.

From planting to autonomy in four steps

The correct initial period allows the roots to gradually reach the moisture zone.

01 · Assemble the system

Insert the separator base, filling shaft and water-level indicator into the plant liner.

02 · Add PON and plant

Cover the base with the provided LECHUZA-PON, place the plant, and fill with suitable substrate.

03 · Insert the plant liner

Place the planted plant liner inside the outer cover, with the filling shaft and indicator accessible.

04 · Water in two stages

Initially water from above. After rooting, use the reservoir and follow the MIN/MAX indicators.

How to choose a plant

01Measure the root ball and compare it with a plant liner of Ø19.5 cm at 23 or Ø27.5 cm at 32.
02Combine the minimal form with an upright, bushy, or slightly trailing indoor plant.
03Maintain a maximum plant height of about 40 cm at 23 and 60 cm at 32.
04Take into account the final foliage spread, not just the current diameter of the root ball.

Keep the same size

For transition from Felt to Leather or Cork, transfer the entire removable plant liner only to a TRENDCOVER of the same nominal size: 23 to 23 or 32 to 32.

The felt look remains indoors

The TRENDCOVER Felt is recommended exclusively for indoor use. Do not leave it exposed to rain, prolonged moisture, or water that remains on the outer surface.

Is it natural wool felt?

LECHUZA describes the exterior surface as a felt look, not as natural wool felt. The name Felt refers to the appearance and decorative character of the surface.

What does the All-in-One Set include?

Includes the TRENDCOVER Felt outer body, the removable plant liner with recessed handles, the separating base, the filling shaft, the water-level indicator, and LECHUZA-PON for the irrigation layer. The plant and additional substrate are not included.

Do I fill the reservoir immediately after planting?

No. For the first approximately 12 weeks, you water the substrate from above, until the roots reach the moisture zone. Then you fill from the filling shaft up to the MAX and follow the MIN indication and the appropriate dry phase of the plant.

Is the plant liner removable?

Yes. The plant liner is separate from the outer cover and has recessed handles, so it can be lifted out for planting, transport or cleaning.

Can I switch from Felt to Leather or Cork without replanting?

Yes. You can transfer the removable planted plant liner to a TRENDCOVER with a different finish, as long as it is the same size: 23 to 23 or 32 to 32.

Can it be used outdoors?

TRENDCOVER Felt is recommended for indoor use. It should not be left exposed to rain, prolonged humidity, or water on the exterior felt surface.

With specially designed boxes, we ensure that the plants will reach you intact, no matter what they encounter on the way!

All plants in 3L pots or larger are placed in individual boxes that secure the plant at the base of the pot, preventing it from tipping over.

The cardboard used for the boxes is specially made to provide resistance to potential impacts during transport.
