Controlled handling
Hold the tweezers where you have steady control and apply only enough pressure for a secure grip. With plants, choose the base or another resilient point and avoid squeezing delicate leaves.

More control in practice
Hold the tweezers around the middle, where your hand remains steady without unnecessary strain. Prefer several short movements to one large repositioning action, and release anything that appears sensitive to pressure. When arranging gravel, draw pieces little by little in the intended direction rather than pushing them down into the layers. To remove a fallen leaf, grip the visible edge and pull slowly while checking that it is not caught around a plant.
