A distinctive ornamental plant originating from Namibia with characteristic long stems bearing green bead-shaped leaves, hence the name "String of Pearls". Suitable for both bright interiors and outdoors. Needs space to grow. Ideal for hanging baskets or hanging from a shelf. Can also be planted in arrangements with other succulents in tall decorative pots. Very easy to maintain. Related species ofSenecio herreianus(String of Beads).
Care
Light:Adapts to conditions from partly dark to brightly lit. A few hours of morning or afternoon sun is a bonus for the plant. Watering:Very drought tolerant plant, stores water in its leaves. Allow the soil to dry out before watering again. Do not overwater. Temperature:Room temperature (16-24°C) but can tolerate up to 10°C in Winter. Fertilization:A thin dose of balanced fertilizer once a month during the growing season. Tip:You can prune some of the new growth to create an even more compact plant.
