LECHUZA Classic System · removable plant liner

The planting can be lifted using the recessed handles

Plant in the removable plant liner, which lifts completely out of the outer planter body. The sturdy handles rise when needed and recess neatly into the rim after the liner is returned. After the initial rooting period, the Classic System supplies the roots from the water reservoir, while the water-level indicator shows the MIN and MAX levels.

The plant liner is removable for plant replacement, root care, or easier relocation of the planting.
The recessed handles remain discreet when not in use.
For the first few weeks, water from above and then use the water reservoir with the MIN/MAX indicator.
In uncovered outdoor areas, remove the overflow screw from the bottom so that excess rainwater is removed.

From planting to self-watering in four steps

The correct start helps the roots fully utilize the Classic System.

01 · Prepare the plant liner

Place the system components according to the instructions and spread the provided LECHUZA-PON at the base.

02 · Complete the planting

Add substrate suitable for the plant, leaving the filling shaft and the water-level water-level indicator clear.

03 · Water from above

In the first weeks, water the substrate from above so that the roots grow toward the moisture zone.

04 · Use the water reservoir

When the plant starts to draw water, fill through the filling shaft and monitor the MIN and MAX indicators.

Consumption varies with the type of plant, sun, wind, and the size of the planter. During heat waves or in very exposed spots, check the indicator and substrate moisture daily.

How to choose the right setup

01Measure the root ball, not just the height or the spread of the foliage.

03Leave space for growth, without an excessively large gap that would make moisture control difficult.
04For the 40 and 50, calculate the total weight and choose the correct concealed wheeled base.

Compatible wheeled bases for two CUBE sizes

For the CUBE Premium 40 choose a base of size 50; for the CUBE Premium 50 choose a base of size 60. Both are hidden under the planter and move in any direction. The CUBE 30 does not accept a base.

Surface care

The lacquer requires gentle cleaning

Remove dust with a clean, soft microfiber cloth and use a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid abrasive sponges, hard brushes, and strong cleaning agents.

Before using it outdoors

In an uncovered area, remove the overflow screw from the bottom so that excess rainwater can drain. For indoor use, the screw must remain properly in place. Always place the planted CUBE Premium on a stable, flat surface that can support the total weight.

What does the All-in-One Set include?

It includes the CUBE Premium outer planter body, the removable plant liner with recessed handles, the Classic System equipment with a filling shaft and water-level indicator, as well as LECHUZA-PON for the base layer. The plant and the additional substrate are not included.

How is the plant liner removed?

Raise the recessed handles and lift the plant liner vertically out of the outer planter body. This way you can change the planting, tend to the roots, or move the plant more easily.

Do I fill the reservoir immediately after planting?

For the first few weeks, water from above, until the roots reach the moisture zone. Then you can transition to reservoir watering: fill it about halfway and observe if the level drops in the following days. When the plant starts drawing water, use the filling shaft and the MAX indicator normally.

When do I refill the reservoir?

When the indicator reaches MIN, allow the appropriate dry phase for your plant and then refill up to MAX. The duration depends on the species, location, temperature, and wind. On very hot days, check the indicator and substrate moisture daily.

Is it suitable for outdoor use and rain?

Yes. The body is resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions. In uncovered outdoor areas, remove the overflow screw from the bottom so that excess rainwater can escape.

Which wheeled base fits each CUBE Premium size?

The CUBE Premium 40 uses the wheeled base in size 50, and the CUBE Premium 50 uses the wheeled base in size 60. The CUBE Premium 30 is not compatible with a wheeled base.

With specially designed boxes, we ensure that the plants will reach you intact, no matter what they encounter on the way!

All plants in 3L pots or larger are placed in individual boxes that secure the plant at the base of the pot, preventing it from tipping over.

The cardboard used for the boxes is specially made to provide resistance to potential impacts during transport.
