Succulent with dense growth and a maximum height of 10-40cm. Flowers in spring and summer with green-yellow flowers. Plant with strong variation, found with different sized leaves and colours. Very good choice for compositions to create contrast with rosette-forming plants. Suitable for rock gardens or in arrangements with other succulents in pots and window boxes.
Origin: Namibia and South Africa.
Care
Easy to maintain, tolerates a wide range of climatic conditions, provided the substrate is well drained and watered regularly but not excessively. A very hardy variety, it can withstand heavy frost conditions for short periods. It is best planted in shallow, low pots that best support the plant's fibrous roots. It can stay in the same pot for many years. It needs watering throughout the year: neither too wet nor too dry in Fall and Spring, regular watering in Summer and careful watering in Winter. Relatively drought resistant plant. Needs very good aeration of the plant. Does not tolerate intense, hot Summer sun, but generally needs locations with partial sun exposure to thrive. In places with heavy shade it weakens and its growth lengthens irregularly.
