Variety origin
Its taxonomy has been discussed extensively; it is encountered as a form or hybrid related to Crassula capitella (historically cited near C. erosula/C. subacaulis ssp. erosula). ‘Campfire’ was selected for its intense red-orange foliage and its tendency to produce many offsets.
1) Soil mix: Very fast-draining; a cactus/succulent base with 40–60% mineral grit (perlite, pumice, lava rock/pozzolan).
2) Watering: Let the mix dry out completely; water sparingly in spring–summer, very little in autumn, and pause in winter.
3) Light / temperature: Lots of light/sun for colour; protect below 7°C and from frost.
