Astrophytum asterias, also known as the “Sand Dollar Cactus” or “Sea Urchin Cactus,” is a rare and highly collectible species revered for its perfectly symmetrical, flat-bodied form. Its smooth, spineless surface is patterned with geometric ribs and speckled with tiny white trichomes, giving it a celestial, star-like appearance. In summer, it rewards with large, silky yellow flowers featuring a bright orange center.
