The design behind the saucer

It collects the water without hiding what is happening

Water that drains from the holes in the pot is held inside the saucer instead of reaching the surface. The embossed ribs slightly raise the base of the pot and create small air paths underneath.

Collects drips and drainage water after watering.
The raised geometry limits the continuous contact of the pot with the water while the level remains low.
The transparency allows direct visual control of the collected quantity.
The low, transparent profile does not visually compete with the pot or plant.

The saucer is not a self-watering reservoir: after draining, empty the excess water. If the level reaches the base of the pot, the roots may remain in constant moisture.

Each option indicates the diameter of the saucer. For proper fit, compare this dimension to the footprint on the bottom of the pot.

Do not choose from the top diameter of the pot. The base is usually smaller. Measure it at its widest point and choose a slightly larger saucer so that the pot sits firmly and the water collects inside the rim.

Measure the bottom footprint

Place the tape measure at the base of the pot and measure its largest outside width.

Leave a clear margin

Choose a saucer slightly larger than the base so that the drainage holes are inside the collection area.

Check for stable seating

The base of the pot should rest evenly on the raised ribs, without touching the rim.

Two pots with the same top diameter may have a different bottom footprint. If the fit is close, measure the specific pot before choosing.

Clear Pot Saucers are available in five diameters: 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21 cm.

02How do I choose the right size?

Measure the bottom outer diameter of the pot at its widest point and choose a slightly larger saucer. The pot should sit firmly in the rim and all drainage holes should be above the collection area.

03Do I measure the top or bottom diameter of the pot?

The bottom diameter. Most pots are tapered, so the top diameter doesn't indicate how much space the base actually takes up on the saucer.

04Does the saucer act as a self-watering reservoir?

No. It collects the water that drains after watering, but does not have a wick or a controlled feeding system. Drain the excess water so that the base of the pot does not remain submerged.

05What does the raised base offer?

Embossed ribs create short clearance under the pot and air paths, limiting continuous contact with water as long as the level remains below the base.

06Should I leave the water in the saucer?

Not as a permanent practice. After watering, let the pot drain and empty the water that has collected, unless the cultivation method and the specific plant require different, controlled management.

07Is it suitable for outdoor use?
