One of the largest and most impressive Anthurium species. The leaves have an impressive central vein and can grow very large. Up to 2 metres long and 20-30 cm wide. The species grows originally in the mountain forests of Antioquia and Chocó in Colombia at altitudes of about 1,000 meters, on trees as an epiphyte, forming rhizomes to attach to a branch.
Because of its origin, the plant is accustomed to relatively low temperatures. The optimum growing temperature is between 20 and 25C and the minimum humidity around 50%. This makes this variety suitable as an indoor plant compared to some other species.
