A nominal diameter of 75 cm combines with a height of 70 cm, giving the traditional Ancona design a taller, more imposing profile.
Porous terracotta
The material remains breathable after firing, allowing the air exchange that roots need.

Ancona reinterprets the traditional Tuscan pot with a simple tapered silhouette and a pronounced upper rim. Its balanced proportions work equally well on terraces, in courtyards and at entrances, from classic to contemporary settings.
From the earth, in Mycenae
Terraneo makes its pots at its factory in Mycenae, Greece. Different types of earth from the Peloponnese and Crete are cleaned, blended in specific proportions and worked by hand before shaping.
How durability is made
A controlled process combining technical precision with skilled handwork.
Raw materials are sourced from selected quarries in the Peloponnese and Crete.
The clay is worked by hand to remove trapped air before craftspeople fill the moulds.
Once removed from the mould, each pot is finished by hand on a pottery wheel.
Controlled firing keeps the terracotta porous and contributes to its high frost resistance.
