Excellent and rare variety of Agave of small size. Maximum plant height: 35-45cm and diameter 60cm. Leaves dark green with a band of light green along the leaf and a golden-yellow periphery. The variegation is completed by characteristic red-coloured spines that turn even redder under conditions of intense sunlight. These distinctive leaf colours have given the name 'quadricolor' to the leaves.
A very hardy variety, it can withstand drought but grows faster if there is adequate water in Summer. It prefers sun or penumbra positions. Suitable for rock gardens, for planting in cactus and succulent arrangements, for Mediterranean gardens and for decorative pots.
