Very fragrant flowers, large (30cm), blue-violet in colour, appearing on bare branches in late spring to early summer and persisting throughout the summer. Very resistant to low temperatures (-29°C), prefers sunny positions for full flowering. Ideal plant for fences, pergolas, columns, etc. Can be shaped into a tree. If climbed on a trellis, the large hanging flowers create a very impressive effect.
