Family: Araceae • Pot diameter: 12 cm
Iconic metallic-silver foliage with a satin sheen and clean, architectural lines: ‘Silver Hero’ reads premium even in lower light, with elegant heart-shaped leaves that catch the eye from every angle.
Trails or climbs, keeps a tidy shape, and rewards with larger, more silvery leaves when given support. Perfect for modern homes and workspaces; pairs beautifully with minimalist planters and natural materials.
Bright spot with indirect light, away from harsh midday sun. Water when the top layer dries; never leave water sitting in covers. Use an airy aroid mix (perlite/bark) with good drainage. Humidity 50–60%+ keeps the metallic sheen crisp. Add a totem for larger, more mature leaves; light feeding spring–summer.
A rainforest aroid from SE Asia, creeping/climbing along trunks (often shingling) to find bright, filtered light. ‘Silver Hero’ is a selected tissue-culture line with high silver coverage and uniform satin texture.
Selected for stable coloration, good indoor performance, and leaf sizing when supported. Propagated asexually (node cuttings/tissue culture) to maintain traits.
