ANIGOZANTHOS®

Anigozanthus is an impressive, ornamental plant that thrives even in harsh conditions when properly installed. Originating from far away Australia, it can be grown in Mediterranean countries with almost no care and with minimal attention you can keep your plant thriving all year round! Anigozanthus produces abundant flowers most months of the year, with bright colours and a long life span which develop through the glossy foliage at the base of the plant. As a true herbaceous species, it does not produce shoots but creates a rhizome in the ground which allows it to survive even in difficult periods of drought or cold.

Place the Anigozanth in direct sunlight or in semi-shade.

You can plant it directly in the ground in well-drained soil. Anigozanthus is generally very drought tolerant, but a little extra watering during flowering will reward you with more flowers. It's best to keep the soil moist (be careful to keep it draining and the roots constantly in water) to help encourage more growth, especially when plants are left in pots.
