The Anigozanthos is an impressive ornamental plant that thrives even in adverse conditions when properly established. Originating from distant Australia, it can grow in Mediterranean countries with almost no care, while with minimal attention you will keep your plant thriving all year round! The anigozanthos produces abundant flowers for most months of the year, with vibrant colors and a long lifespan that emerge from its glossy foliage at the base of the plant. As a true herbaceous species, it does not produce stems but creates a rhizome in the soil that allows it to survive even in difficult periods of drought or cold.
Place the Anigozanthos in direct sunlight or in partial shade.
You can plant it directly in the ground in well-draining soils. The Anigozanthos is generally very drought-resistant, but a little extra watering during flowering will reward you with more flowers. It is preferable to keep its soil moist (be careful to drain and not have its roots constantly in water) to help promote more growth, especially when the plants remain in pots.
