ANIGOZANTHOS®

Anigozanthos is a striking ornamental plant that thrives even in challenging conditions once properly established. Native to distant Australia, it can grow in Mediterranean countries with almost no care, and with minimal attention, you can keep your plant thriving year-round!

Anigozanthos produces abundant flowers for most months of the year, featuring vibrant colors and long-lasting blooms that emerge from its glossy foliage at the plant’s base. As a true herbaceous species, it does not produce shoots but forms a rhizome in the soil, allowing it to survive even during harsh drought or cold periods.

Place Anigozanthos in full sun or partial shade.

You can plant it directly in well-drained soil. Although generally very drought-tolerant, slightly increased watering during flowering will reward you with more flowers. It’s best to keep the soil moist (ensuring good drainage so the roots are not constantly waterlogged) to promote more growth—especially when grown in pots.
