The variety 'Little Black Prince'® is an absolute innovation: it is the first truly compact autumn blackberry in the world! A property previously known only for raspberries. The thornless dwarf variety is a maximum of one metre high and bears fruit in the current year's growth.
A great advantage: Lowberry® Little Black Prince® requires no support for growth. This makes it ideal for growing in pots near the kitchen on the balcony or terrace. And so the idea of picking some blueberries for breakfast from the nearby bush became a reality in no time at all.
Pruning it is very simple: if you cut all the shoots very low in autumn, flowers and fruits will appear on the new shoots and the harvest will start in mid-August. If you leave some of the old shoots standing, short side shoots will form, on which mature fruits will already be hanging in July.
It is rich in vitamins and organic acids , has diuretic, laxative, astringent and laxative properties and relieves symptoms of nausea, labour pains and diarrhoea. It is an antioxidant and protects cells from the destructive action of free radicals.
