The PURO Color 20 transforms a small plant into a complete decorative feature. The spherical shape, the subtle embossed weave texture, and the calm matte finish give character without weighing down the space, while the self-watering system remains discreetly hidden inside.
This page is exclusively for the PURO Color 20, not the larger PURO Color 50.
LECHUZA Wick System · integrated into the plant liner
The wicks connect the PON with the water reservoir
The plant is transplanted into the removable plant liner with LECHUZA-PON. Two integrated wicks reach into the reservoir and transfer moisture to the mineral substrate through capillary action. The MIN/MAX indicator makes the water level visible without needing to lift the plant.
The nursery pot is removed; the plant is transplanted into the plant liner.
LECHUZA recommends exclusive use of LECHUZA-PON for the full function of the wicks.
Enough LECHUZA-PON is included for the full planting of the PURO Color 20.
There is no overflow valve, so the planter is intended for indoor use.

01
Spherical shape, small footprint
The 20 cm diameter gives a visible presence on the table or shelf, without taking up the space of a large planter.
02
The plant liner lifts out with the plant
The plant liner is lifted together with the plant, so that planting, root care, and cleaning are made easier.
03
Moisture from the water reservoir
The wicks supply the PON from below, while the water-level indicator helps you organize the plant's watering cycle.

Proper planting in four steps
Plant directly in the removable plant liner using the included LECHUZA-PON.
01 · Check the system
Make sure the water-level indicator and both wicks are correctly positioned in the removable plant liner.
02 · Add the PON
Pour part of the LECHUZA-PON into the plant liner, leaving the necessary space for the root ball.
03 · Transplant
Remove the plant from the nursery pot and carefully fill around the roots with PON.
04 · Water from above
Slowly add water until the indicator reaches MAX. When it drops to MIN, allow the dry phase the plant needs before watering again.
Woven satin texture
Looks wrapped in fine fabric
The surface is not simply matte. The fine texture repeats the pattern of a weave and gives depth to the sphere, without strong reflections or unnecessary details.
360° presence
No “wrong” side
The spherical outline works from every viewing angle and makes PURO an easy choice for a central table, kitchen island, console, or reception desk.
Where it fits
01Dining table or side table, as an independent green central element.
02Console, buffet, or reception desk, alone or in a repetition of two shades.
03Desk, shelf or bright indoor windowsill, depending on the needs of the plant.
04In a suitable macramé holder with secure support; the hanging holder is not included.
How to choose the right plant
01The root ball must fit in a plant liner approximately Ø12 cm with a planting depth of 12 cm.
02Prefer a plant height of up to about 30 cm for proper proportions and stability.
03Suitable for compact foliage plants, ferns, flowering plants, or small orchids properly grown in PON.
04Adjust the dry phase according to the species, light, temperature, and water consumption.

Texture cleaning
Soft cloth, no scrubbing
Clean the body with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a mild cleanser. Avoid abrasive sponges that may damage the delicate textured surface.
Proper watering cycle
The MIN starts the dry phase
When the indicator reaches MIN, do not refill the reservoir mechanically. Usually leave 2–10 days, adjusting the duration to the actual needs of the plant and the conditions of the space.
!
For indoor use — not exposed to rain
The PURO Color 20 does not have an overflow valve and LECHUZA recommends it for indoor use. Do not leave it in an uncovered outdoor area, where rain can overfill the reservoir and disrupt the proper moisture cycle.
Frequently asked questions
What are the dimensions and capacities of the PURO Color 20?
The PURO Color 20 has outer dimensions of Ø20 × 16 cm, a water reservoir of 0.5 L, and a plant volume of 1.2 L. The removable plant liner is approximately Ø12 cm, the planting depth is 12 cm, and the recommended maximum plant height is 30 cm.
What does the All-in-One Set include?
Includes the PURO Color 20 outer planter body, the removable plant liner with integrated wicks, the water-level indicator, and LECHUZA-PON in a sufficient amount for planting. The plant and any macramé holder are not included.
How does the wick self-watering system work?
Two wicks at the bottom of the plant liner reach the water reservoir and transfer moisture to the LECHUZA-PON through capillary action. The water-level indicator shows the amount of water between MIN and MAX.
Does the plant remain in the nursery pot?
No. The plant is removed from the nursery pot and transplanted into the removable plant liner of PURO Color 20 with LECHUZA-PON. The outer spherical body is not filled with substrate.
How and when do I water?
Water slowly from the top until the indicator reaches MAX. When it drops to MIN, allow the plant an appropriate dry phase — usually 2–10 days, depending on the species and conditions — and then water again.
Can the PURO Color 20 stay outdoors?
The PURO Color 20 is intended for indoor use and does not have an overflow valve. It should not be left in an uncovered area where it can fill with rain.
Can I use regular soil instead of LECHUZA-PON?
For the integrated wicks to function properly, LECHUZA recommends the exclusive use of LECHUZA-PON. The required amount is included in the package, so there is no need for a separate purchase for the initial planting.
