The ORCHIDEA is not a simple planter. The orchid is transplanted into the semi-transparent removable plant liner with the special LECHUZA substrate, while the small reservoir and the water-level indicator manage a controlled cycle of moisture and dry periods.

The translucent plant liner allows light to reach the roots and permits their visual inspection.
The special substrate balances moisture and aeration, stores nutrients and maintains a stable pH.
The water-level indicator clearly shows the amount of water between the MIN and MAX points.
The orchid is removed from the nursery pot and transplanted into the plant liner.

Planting and watering in four steps

The correct sequence keeps the watering cycle controlled from day one.

01 · Assemble

Attach the water-level indicator to the dedicated system and place the semi-transparent plant liner inside the planter.

02 · Transplant

Remove the orchid from the original pot and gently fill in the special substrate around the roots.

03 · Water to MAX

Water slowly from above, directly onto the substrate and away from the crown, until the indicator reaches MAX.

04 · Wait 7–14 days

When the indicator reaches MIN and the water is depleted, leave a dry phase of 7–14 days before the next watering.

How to correctly choose the orchid

01The root ball must fit in the semi-transparent plant liner, approximately Ø 12 cm and 10 cm deep.
02Prefer compact Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, or another compatible orchid with similar root development.
03Check that the roots are healthy before transplanting and remove only what is visibly dead.
04Keep the final size compatible with the recommended maximum plant height of about 30 cm.

Clean the outer planter body with a soft, slightly damp cloth and gently dry. Avoid abrasive sponges and strong cleaners that may damage the matte finish.

Water suitable for orchids

Prefer soft water

Orchids prefer water with low salt content, such as rainwater of suitable purity. Water the substrate and avoid letting water stay in the crown of the plant.

MIN means the start of the dry phase — not immediate refilling

When the water has been consumed and the indicator is at MIN, leave the orchid without additional watering for about 7–14 days. The exact duration depends on the variety, light, temperature, and the actual moisture of the substrate.
