Muhlenbergia capillaris creates one of the most atmospheric scenes in an autumn garden: a clean green tuft suddenly crowned by a translucent cloud of pink to purple panicles. The flowering haze catches light, moves with the breeze and seems almost to float. In a drift, beside a path or alone in a large pot, it brings depth, motion and drama without visual weight.
