Care
Light: Needs strong indirect lighting and can tolerate shadier locations. It can tolerate moderate to moderate light, but inadequate light can lead to loss of leaf dichroism. Watering: The soil should remain relatively moist and the surface should dry slightly between waterings. Temperature: Ideally 16-24°C but can tolerate up to 13°C. Humidity: High humidity levels are essential for the plant. This is achieved either by placing the plant in a dish filled with gravel and water, or by spraying the leaves regularly. Spraying should not be done with tap water, which contains a lot of salts and chlorine. Fertilization: Apply liquid fertilizer at a reduced rate 1-2 times a month during the growing season.
The leaves should be cleaned of dust with a dry cloth. Polish should not be applied as it causes damage to the leaves.
