A pink storm of tropical romance 💓
Hot-pink flowers and continuous flowering, from the Rio® series known for strong adaptability. Lush foliage, vigorous growth — excellent for balconies and sunny courtyards.
Place it in full sun to filtered light, in a spot protected from strong winds. Use a pot with plenty of drainage holes and a rich, well-draining mix such as peat-based potting soil with perlite. Water regularly, allowing the substrate to dry slightly between waterings. Feed with a fertiliser for flowering plants every two weeks during spring and summer to support continuous blooming.
Natural group & distribution: The genus Mandevilla is native to tropical South and Central America, where many species grow in warm, bright habitats such as forest edges, with a preference for warmth, humidity and good drainage.
Breeding background: Rio® is a cultivated series developed through Mandevilla breeding, selected for long flowering performance and good behaviour in pots and planters.
How it differs from related types:
Propagation & stability: Commercial Rio® selections are maintained vegetatively, so their key traits, such as flower colour, compact habit and strong flowering performance, remain stable.
Garden value: Widely used for urban balconies, planters and warm-season displays thanks to its rich colour and long flowering period.
