What makes it special
- 🏆 Award-winning variety with FleuroStar Award 2023–2024 and international recognition.
- 🌸 First truly double-flowered Mandevilla in the Sundaville® series, with full cream-pink blooms.
- 🌿 Glossy green foliage, good branching and rich flowering through much of the warm season.
Ideal use
- 🪴 In a large decorative pot or planter on a sunny balcony, courtyard or entrance.
- 🪜 With support on a pergola, railing, column or small climbing structure.
- 🌸 In a protected position where continuous flowering, soft colour and a refined ornamental look are needed.
Where to place it
Place it in a very bright to sunny position, ideally with several hours of sun and some protection from extremely hot midday sun on the most difficult summer days. Mandevilla Sundaville® 'Double Blush Pink' loves warmth, light and good air circulation, and performs best in a pot with rich but well-draining substrate. It is not frost-hardy and needs protection when temperatures drop. With support, it can climb and create a more vertical look, while with less strict guidance it can also develop a freer, trailing habit.
Plant pairings
- With white Plumbago, Gaura and fine ornamental grasses, so the double cream-pink Mandevilla flowers stand out in a bright summer composition.
- With Lantana, Verbena and Calibrachoa, for sunny plantings with long-lasting colour and shared preference for warm, bright positions.
- With green background plants such as Chamaerops, Phormium or compact forms of Pittosporum, so the double flowering becomes the main floral feature of the composition.
Composition goal: a sunny balcony planting with rich flowering, glossy green foliage, vertical growth and clean contrast between bloom, foliage and structure.

Taxonomic history: Mandevilla belongs to the family Apocynaceae and is widely grown as a tropical flowering climber for pots, balconies and sunny courtyards. In horticultural use, it remains closely associated with the name Dipladenia, especially for compact, richly flowering cultivated forms.
Sundaville® series: The Sundaville® series was developed by MNP / Suntory and is known for rich branching, long flowering performance, heat tolerance and high ornamental value in pots. 'Double Blush Pink' is an important development within the series because it introduced a double flower into a category mostly known for single funnel-shaped blooms.
Naming: 'Double Blush Pink' describes the look of the variety: double flowers with a blush-pink base, cream and soft peach tones. The word Double refers to the full, double flower structure, which gives the variety richer and more distinctive flowering compared with classic single Mandevilla blooms.
Awards & introduction: Mandevilla Sundaville® 'Double Blush Pink' won the FleuroStar Award 2023–2024 and was internationally recognised as one of the most interesting new flowering varieties in its category. The award highlighted its significance as the first truly double-flowered Mandevilla, while its additional awards further strengthened its position as a premium choice for balconies, courtyards and refined flowering pots.
1) Light: Place it in a sunny or very bright position. The more light it receives, the richer and more continuous its flowering becomes.
2) Watering: Water when the surface of the substrate dries. It needs steady moisture during growth, but not water sitting at the base of the pot.
3) Feeding: From spring to the end of summer, feed regularly with a fertiliser for flowering plants to support the continuous production of double blooms.
Tip 💡 To keep flowering strong, give Mandevilla Sundaville® 'Double Blush Pink' plenty of light, steady watering and regular feeding for flowering plants. Remove old flowers and guide the stems onto support for a fuller, more balanced look.
Did you know? 🤔 Sundaville® 'Double Blush Pink' gained international attention because it brought something genuinely different to the Mandevilla category: double flowers with a full rosette-like form, on a plant with rich growth and long-lasting flowering.
