Hydrangea paniculata ‘Vlasveld 02’ Confetti® fills its narrow crown with airy flower panicles, like small white brushstrokes suspended among the leaves. The finely textured heads begin with greenish tips and develop gentle pink tones as the season progresses. A light fragrance completes a display full of movement and detail. This hydrangea brings generous flowering to a planting while preserving the graceful, open character of its branches, allowing neighbouring foliage to remain part of the picture.

Hydrangea paniculata ‘Vlasveld 02’ Confetti® originated with Vlasveld Tuintechnieken BV in the Netherlands. The selection combined narrow, compact growth and strong branches with the fine, open structure of its flowering panicles.

It subsequently entered Plantipp’s international network under the trade name Confetti®, with European protection EU 43254. The precise year of the original selection and its parents have not been made public; its story is associated with this Dutch nursery and the unusually airy flowering it brought to cultivation.

A branching inflorescence
