For those who want flowers. Lots of flowers. ☀️
Family: Malvaceae • Pot size: 3 litres • Height: 50–60 cm

Not an ordinary Hibiscus! HibisQs® 'Adonicus Yellow'® is an improved selection of tropical hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis) developed for rich, continuous flowering in pots or in the garden, with large standout blooms and dense, glossy foliage. This series is considered one of the “diamonds” of floriculture worldwide, and here the yellow flower works like a source of clear light in the space, especially when placed in a bright position with steady moisture. It is ideal for balconies, terraces and patios throughout spring and summer, as well as for seasonal bedding displays, provided it has proper drainage and protection from low temperatures.
Place it in a very bright spot with morning or late-afternoon sun. In intense midday sun, especially in a pot, light shade is preferable to reduce stress on the foliage. Move it outdoors when night temperatures are consistently above about 12°C, and protect it in colder weather.
Role in a composition: the bright focal point of the pot — bringing colour, volume and an instant summer feel.
Botanical background: This is a selection of tropical hibiscus, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (family Malvaceae), a species long established in ornamental horticulture worldwide for its large flowers and vivid colour range.
HibisQs® (Graff Breeding A/S): The name HibisQs® refers to a line of genetically improved hibiscus varieties developed and marketed by Graff Breeding A/S, with the aim of achieving long and abundant flowering, better adaptability to different climates, and dense, vigorous foliage.
What ‘Adonicus Yellow’® means: “Yellow” describes the flower colour. “Adonicus” is a thematic name inspired by Adonis, linking the variety to summer flowering and a vivid presence in containers.
Variety stability: As a commercial cultivar, it keeps its defining traits (flower colour, flower size and habit) through vegetative propagation (cuttings), making the result more predictable.

It wants plenty of light. Ideally give it morning or late-afternoon sun, or bright partial shade, especially on hot days, so it holds its foliage and flowers better.
In a pot, water when the surface starts to dry and let it drain fully. Never allow water to remain standing in the saucer.
Move it outdoors when night temperatures stay consistently above about 12°C. As temperatures drop and cold becomes a risk, it should be protected.
During the growing season, feed every 2–3 weeks with a fertiliser higher in potassium (K), which supports flowering. Always apply to moist potting mix.
