A small, light green, rosette-shaped succulent plant that does not exceed 12 cm in diameter. It has fleshy cylindrical and slightly flattened leaves with a very prominent tip, hence the name of the species (from the Latin "mucronata" actually means "pointed"). Initially the leaves are erect, then slightly curved, but the distinguishing feature of this species are the translucent borders that stand out from the bright green of the plant. Depending on the place of origin, this plant may also have whitish bristles on the edges of the foliage. In spring it produces a long stalk on which white flowers with greyish-green keels bloom.
Care
Requires exposure in partial shade, as long as it still receives plenty of light throughout the year.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
It is advisable to always keep the soil slightly moist in spring and summer. Beware of stagnant water that could cause rotting.
The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
