Faro 45

The tall, gently curved silhouette, clean continuous rim and gradually narrowing base give Faro 45 a restrained architectural presence. Natural terracotta softens the clear geometry, creating a timeless handmade planter that frames the plant without competing with it.

Scandinavian minimalism

Terraneo describes Faro as a Scandinavian design of the 20th century, expressed in a clean, minimalist form.

Porous terracotta

The material remains breathable after firing, allowing the air exchange that roots need.

Made for demanding conditions

The special clay blend and high firing temperature provide resistance to frost and pronounced temperature changes.

20th-century design

A simple form with lasting appeal

Faro dispenses with projecting rims and decorative patterns. Its tall body, gentle curves and gradually narrowing base create a calm, vertical silhouette for contemporary terraces, courtyards and entrances.

Made in Greece

From the earth, in Mycenae

Terraneo makes its pots at its factory in Mycenae, Greece. Different types of earth from the Peloponnese and Crete are cleaned, blended in specific proportions and worked by hand before shaping.

How durability is made

A controlled process combining technical precision with skilled handwork.

01 · Selecting the clay

Raw materials are sourced from selected quarries in the Peloponnese and Crete.

02 · Shaping

The clay is worked by hand to remove trapped air before craftspeople fill the moulds.

03 · Finishing by hand

Once removed from the mould, each pot is finished by hand on a pottery wheel.

04 · Firing up to 1,150°C

Controlled firing keeps the terracotta porous and contributes to its high frost resistance.

–50°CFrost resistance

Made to withstand major temperature changes

Frost-resistant to –50°C, with a 10-year frost-resistance guarantee.
