The tall, slender, slightly conical silhouette of the CUBICO Cottage raises the greenery to eye level, while the textured weave surface gives the simple square geometry a warmer and more natural character. With an architectural presence but a limited footprint, it works beautifully on its own or in pairs, from an entrance and a living room to a shop, balcony, or terrace.

LECHUZA Classic System · removable plant liner
The planting can be lifted using the recessed handles
The removable component is the plant liner — not the outer cover pot. The plant remains inside it, and the entire plant liner is lifted by the recessed handles for repotting, maintenance, or easier relocation. After the initial rooting period, the Classic System feeds the roots from the reservoir, and the water-level indicator shows the MIN and MAX marks.
The plant liner is removed vertically from the outer planter body.
The recessed handles remain discreet when not in use.
For the first few weeks, water from above and then use the water reservoir with the MIN/MAX indicator.
In an uncovered outdoor area, remove the drain plug so that excess rainwater can drain away.

01
Height with a natural character
The square base and the conical line give architectural presence, while the weaving visually softens the geometry.
02

The plant liner is lifted by the recessed handles for plant change, care, or relocation.

From planting to self-watering in four steps
The correct start helps the roots fully utilize the Classic System.
01 · Prepare the plant liner
Place the system components according to the instructions and spread the provided LECHUZA-PON at the base.
02 · Complete the planting
Add substrate suitable for the plant, leaving the filling shaft and the water-level indicator free.
03 · Water from above
In the first weeks, water the substrate from above so that the roots grow toward the moisture zone.
04 · Use the water reservoir
When the plant starts to draw water, fill through the filling shaft and monitor the MIN and MAX indicators.
The identity of CUBICO
The warmth of the weave, in a vertical line
The slight taper directs the eye toward the plant, and the embossed pattern gives a more natural feel without imitating a real basket. Thus, the CUBICO Cottage easily combines with wood, stone, metal, and modern building facades.
For hot summer weather
The water reservoir helps — control remains necessary
Consumption varies with the type of plant, sun, wind, and the size of the planter. During heat waves or in very exposed spots, check the indicator and substrate moisture daily.
Where each size fits

40Large floor plants, spacious entrances, hotels, shops, and sheltered balconies.
How to choose the right setup
01Measure the root ball and check the plant liner, not just the height of the CUBICO.
02Leave space for growth, without an excessively large gap that would make moisture control difficult.
03Calculate the total weight and choose a stable, level spot protected from strong wind.
04For the 30 and 40, check the special wheeled base before completing the planting.

Concealed wheeled base for CUBICO 30 and 40
The special black base is hidden under the planter and facilitates the movement of the planted CUBICO Cottage in any direction. Choose the same size as your planter.
Remove dust with a soft brush or a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges and strong cleaners so that the texture and color remain uniform.
!
Before using it outdoors
In an uncovered location, remove the drainage plug from the bottom so that excess rainwater can drain away. For indoor use, the plug must remain properly closed. Always place the planted CUBICO Cottage on a stable, flat surface protected from strong wind, especially when the plant is tall.
Frequently asked questions
What CUBICO Cottage sizes are available on this page?
Greenleaf offers CUBICO Cottage 30 and 40. The outer dimensions are 29.5 × 29.5 × 56.5 cm and 39.5 × 39.5 × 75.5 cm respectively, while the water reservoirs are 4 and 7.5 L.
What does the All-in-One Set include?
It includes the CUBICO Cottage outer planter body, the removable plant liner with recessed handles, the Classic System equipment with filling shaft and water-level indicator, as well as LECHUZA-PON for the base layer. The plant and additional substrate are not included.
What exactly is removable in the CUBICO Cottage?
The plant liner in which the plant is located is removed, not the outer planter body. Raise the recessed handles and lift the plant liner vertically, so that you can change the planting, care for the roots, or move the plant more easily.
Do I fill the reservoir immediately after planting?
For the first few weeks, water from above, until the roots reach the moisture zone. Then you can transition to reservoir watering: fill it about halfway and observe if the level drops in the following days. When the plant starts drawing water, use the filling shaft and the MAX indicator normally.
When do I refill the reservoir?
When the indicator reaches MIN, allow the appropriate dry phase for your plant and then refill up to MAX. The duration depends on the species, location, temperature, and wind. On very hot days, check the indicator and substrate moisture daily.
Is it suitable for outdoor use and rain?
Yes. The body is resistant to UV radiation, frost, and weather conditions. In uncovered outdoor spaces, remove the drainage plug so that excess rainwater can drain.
Which sizes fit the CUBICO wheeled base?
The special wheeled base from Greenleaf is compatible with the CUBICO Cottage 30 and 40, in the corresponding size.
