LECHUZA Wick System

The nursery pot goes in as it is — the wick handles the connection

The provided wick passes through a drainage hole at the base of the nursery pot. Its upper part comes into contact with the substrate, and the lower part reaches the reservoir, transferring moisture to the roots. This way, there is no waiting period for the roots to reach the water, as in direct planting systems.

You do not remove the plant from the nursery pot and you do not fill the outer planter body with soil.
Choose the CUBE size according to the nursery pot diameter: Ø10–12 cm or Ø13–15 cm.
The water-level indicator shows the current water level in the reservoir.
The amount and frequency of replenishment are always adapted to the specific plant and its location.

The plant stays in its nursery pot. You place the wick, put the nursery pot inside, and the setup is complete in a few minutes.

01 · Check the size

The nursery pot should be within the range Ø10–12 cm for the 14 or Ø13–15 cm for the 16.

02 · Thread the wick

Insert it from below, through a drainage hole of the nursery pot.

03 · Put the nursery pot

Lower the nursery pot into the inner insert, without pressing or folding the wick.

04 · Add water

Fill the water reservoir and use the water-level indicator for the next refill.

Surface care

The matte texture cleans easily

Wipe dust and splashes with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive sponges so that the textured surface remains even.

This series is designed for use with the existing nursery pot and supplied wick. The outer planter body acts as a cover pot and water reservoir; unlike direct-planting LECHUZA models, it is not filled with a PON layer.

When do I refill the reservoir?

Monitor the water-level indicator and the needs of the plant. When the water reservoir is empty, leave only the dry phase that suits the specific species and then refill it. Consumption varies with the plant, light, and temperature.

What does the All-in-One Set include?

Includes the CUBE Color outer planter body, the inner insert, the water-level indicator, and the wick. The plant and the nursery pot in which it is sold are not included.

Is it suitable for herbs used in cooking?

Yes. LECHUZA states that the system is food safe and has designed it for pre-potted herbs. Care, fertilizer, and location must always be suitable for the specific edible plant.

With specially designed boxes, we ensure that the plants will reach you intact, no matter what they encounter on the way!

All plants in 3L pots or larger are placed in individual boxes that secure the plant at the base of the pot, preventing it from tipping over.

The cardboard used for the boxes is specially made to provide resistance to potential impacts during transport.
