The Capi Vase elegant deluxe Granite anthracite 43 cm recreates the look of natural stone in a lightweight planter with a clean, contemporary presence. The rounded Elegant Deluxe silhouette gently widens at the centre and tapers towards the rim and base, giving the planting balanced visual weight without becoming austere. On the anthracite surface, the fine Granite speckle creates depth and a subtle mineral character that blends naturally with wood, concrete, stone and black metal. With a capacity of 55 L and an insulating construction, it works equally well in a bright interior, entrance, patio or terrace, on its own or together with larger sizes from the Arc Granite collection.

Arc Granite
Natural stone appearance with architectural purity
The Arc Granite collection draws inspiration from contemporary architecture and translates the imposing feel of stone into a practical, lightweight construction. The subtle, multi-toned speckle gives the charcoal surface depth without stark relief, while the curved Elegant Deluxe form softens the ensemble and lets the plant remain the centrepiece.

IndoorsShows off Strelitzia nicolai, Ficus elastica and Howea forsteriana, when their size and root system are suitable for the pot and available opening.
OutdoorsSuitable for Laurus nobilis, Phormium or Agapanthus, as well as ornamental grasses, always with substrate and drainage suitable for the plant.
Where it looks bestIn a modern entryway, patio or terrace, alone or next to a larger Arc Granite. The anthracite stone-look finish combines particularly well with wood, exposed concrete, light stone and black metal.
The choice of plant depends on the development of its root system and the conditions of the space. Plant, substrate and drainage materials are not included.

Planting guide
Correct preparation for indoor and outdoor use
Preparation changes according to the location and growing method. In the sections that follow, each number corresponds to a specific layer or component so that the correct order can be seen at a glance.
Indoor · substrate planting
Direct planting indoors
Schematic section of Vase elegant deluxe Arc Granite; the base remains without a hole.
1
About 2/3 suitable substrate around the plant.
2
Water-permeable geotextile across the cross-section, above the LECA.
3
About 1/3 pure LECA in the lowest zone.
4
Intact, watertight base without a drainage hole.
Keep the base intact so that the planter remains watertight.
Fill about the bottom 1/3 with pure LECA.
Cover the LECA with a water-permeable geotextile so that it remains separated from the substrate.
Position the plant at the correct height and fill around it with suitable substrate without compacting it excessively.
Watering: because there is no water outlet, water sparingly and in a controlled way. LECA helps with moisture management, but does not make the pot self-watering and does not correct overwatering.
Outdoor · substrate planting
Direct planting outdoors

1
About 2/3 suitable substrate around the plant.
2
Water-permeable geotextile across the cross-section, above the LECA.
3
About 1/3 pure LECA for free movement of water.
4
Small piece of water-permeable mesh only above the hole.
5
Drainage hole at least Ø25 mm on the bottom marking.
Locate the designated drill mark on the base and drill a drainage hole at least 25 mm in diameter.
Cover only the hole with a small piece of water-permeable mesh or geotextile so that it cannot become blocked.
Add approximately 1/3 LECA and cover it across the full cross-section with water-permeable geotextile.
Add suitable substrate, position the plant at the correct height and fill around it without compacting excessively.
For frost protection: keep the hole clear and the pot slightly raised so as not to retain water that may freeze.
Indoor · LECA only
Alternative: full hydroculture
The LECA-only method differs from substrate planting. A plant already cultivated for hydroculture is needed, with roots adapted to the water and oxygen of LECA.
The hydroculture plant remains in its special perforated growing pot; it is not planted bare-root.
LECA suitable as a growing medium is used, not a grade intended only for filling or decoration.
Add a water-level indicator and dedicated hydroculture nutrients.
The base remains intact and the hydroculture-grade LECA is placed around the perforated growing pot.

Indoor · semi-hydroculture
Semi-hydroculture: the geotextile method
Here the geotextile covers the entire cross-section: it separates the substrate from the low water zone and LECA, without preventing the moisture from moving upwards. It is a separate substrate planting system — not a LECA-only cultivation.
Keep the base intact. If a hole has already been drilled, use a watertight insert.
Install a water-level indicator or fill tube.
Add a 4–5 cm layer of LECA to the base.
Cover the entire LECA layer with water-permeable geotextile, then add the substrate and plant above it.

Important for frost resistance: the pot should drain freely, without water remaining inside and freezing. Once filled, do not drag it; if it needs to be moved, empty it first or lift it properly.
Cleaning & protection
Clean the Granite surface with a soft brush or slightly damp cloth.
Avoid abrasive sponges and strong chemical cleaners.
Check regularly that the drain hole remains open.
Designed to last
The insulating layer helps to protect the roots from temperature changes.
Recycled plastic offers a stone-look presence with low weight and break resistance.
Solar energy is used in production, and the planter is 100% recyclable.
Frequently asked questions
Is it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use?
Yes. For indoor use keep the base intact to remain watertight. For outdoor use, drill a drainage hole of at least 25 mm.
Does it come with a drainage hole?
No. It is delivered without a hole so that it can also be used indoors. If placed outside, the drain hole is necessary.
Can I plant directly into the pot?
Yes. It has a capacity of 55 L and is suitable for direct planting. For outdoor use, first ensure free drainage; indoors, water carefully because there is no outlet for excess water.
What should I consider with the Ø32 cm opening?
Before planting, make sure the plant and its existing pot fit comfortably through the opening. For permanent direct planting, also allow for the future growth of the root system.
Is the Granite surface easy to clean?
Yes. Although it has a stone-look appearance, its exterior is relatively smooth. A slightly damp cloth or a soft brush, without abrasives, is usually sufficient.
What does the insulating layer offer?
It helps protect the roots from summer heat and winter frost, while also improving the planter’s durability.
Does it really withstand frost?
Yes, when used correctly: with free drainage, no standing water and raised off the ground in frosty conditions. Freezing water trapped inside any pot can cause damage.
What does "lifetime warranty" mean?
It does not mean unlimited replacement for any wear or damage. Under its published terms, Capi covers Arc Granite products from the date of purchase against proven defects in material or workmanship. Excluded are, among others, normal wear and tear, improper or unintended use, transport damage for which Capi is not responsible, and damage from natural hazards such as frost. Proof of purchase and photos are required for a warranty claim. The additional commercial warranty does not limit the legal rights of the consumer against the seller. See Capi’s official terms and claim form.
