Camellia japonica 'Volunteer' - Camellia Pot diameter:15cm, Height:35cm.
Very likely to be the most popular variety of Camellia in the world!
Quality: Extra (+++)
Every now and then, mother nature gives us a gift, and in this case it's the Camellia Volunteer™.
A lovely, deep pink-red camellia, with each petal having a distinctive 'frosted' edge. At first the flower opens pale pink and white, before deepening through the season to dark pinkish red and white, and ending in pure red at the end of flowering. The extraordinary form of these flowers and the dark glossy green foliage make this Camellia stunning!
It was spotted by accident among seedlings by New Zealand plant improver Mark Jury in 2011 (the year of the volunteers) and grew into something so special that it was named to honor volunteers everywhere, and was even chosen to appear on a stamp in its native New Zealand.
It prefers positions in shade or semi-shade, but tolerates full sun well, although extreme hot days can cause burns to the foliage. Maximum height 2m and diameter 1.5m.

We take care of the packaging!
With specially designed boxes, we ensure that the plants will reach you intact, no matter what they encounter on the way!
All plants in 3L pots or larger are placed in individual boxes that secure the plant at the base of the pot, preventing it from tipping over.
The cardboard used for the boxes is specially made to provide resistance to potential impacts during transport.
