Buddleja davidii Butterfly Candy® Little Pink (‘BotEx 005’ PBR) is a pink cloud scaled for the terrace. Lightly scented panicles open above a rounded, dense crown and fill summer with a soft glow, butterfly movement and a feeling of effortless abundance. It is joyful without becoming busy, romantic without losing its clean contemporary character.

Dwarf growth makes it especially useful in smaller gardens, pots, entrances and the front layer of a border. Soft pink combines easily with silver foliage and cool purples, while the naturally rounded habit keeps the result polished even as a single specimen. Butterfly Candy® Little Pink carries the code ‘BotEx 005’ and was bred at Kaatsheuvel in the Netherlands by Johannes Adrianus Maria Koot for Botanic Experience B.V. It arose from a controlled summer 2018 cross between proprietary seed parent 18-028-01 and pollen parent 19021.

The new seedling was selected in summer 2019 and first propagated in August that year. European protection was applied for on 23 December 2020, and US Plant Patent PP34,703 was granted on 1 November 2022.
