The material

The coarse particles leave generous spaces between the granules. Water can move away freely while air circulates through the root zone.

A pure mineral material made from natural clay fired at high temperature, with no organic ingredients or built-in fertiliser.

Stable granular structure: The granules retain their shape and do not break down inside the pot.

Follow the plant's needs, the water-level indicator and the fertiliser instructions for your system.

Expanded clay is not a fertiliser

The material contains no built-in nutrients. In hydroculture or semi-hydro, use a suitable fertiliser and follow that product's dosage instructions rather than applying an improvised ratio.
