An impressive plant, ideal for small spaces. With its small and compact growth this Alocasia variety can be placed anywhere. And its name describes exactly what it is and can be seen when you touch its soft, velvety leaves. Its color becomes even more intense as the plant grows. The leaves are beautifully heart-shaped, large, almost black in color, with silvery ribs that create a unique contrast. It is one of the few plants in nature whose leaves are almost black in colour.
Spraying the leaves with water should be avoided. It is a plant that likes to be 'tucked in' in its pot, so it should be repotted every 1-2 years and in a pot one to two sizes larger.
The origin of the plant is not established with certainty. According to some opinions, it was first collected by the British in the jungles of Borneo in East Asia.
