'Shaina' is a small to medium sized variety with compact and upright growth. The leaves develop in spring with excellent bright red colouring, maturing in summer to deep red changing to crimson in autumn. An ideal variety for small gardens, for compositions in flowerbeds as a central reference plant and for decorative pots. The variety has resulted from an accidental natural mutation (witches broom) in a stem of an Acer plant. ‘Bloodgood'. This stem had smaller and more leaves and more compact growth. A piece of this shoot was selected, propagated and this unique variety was created.

All plants in 3L pots or larger are placed in individual boxes that secure the plant at the base of the pot, preventing it from tipping over.
The cardboard used for the boxes is specially made to provide resistance to potential impacts during transport.
