What is Orchid Myst?

Many orchids grow as epiphytes in the wild, using small amounts of moisture and nutrients that reach their roots and foliage. Orchid Myst is designed around this principle: low but repeated nutrient supply, without having to prepare a fertiliser solution each time.

Complete care in a ready-to-use spray

Orchid Myst combines essential mineral and organic nutrients in a water-based solution ready for direct application. The fine mist reaches parts that orchids can use: foliage, fleshy aerial roots and the surface of the bark.

Regular use provides steady, gentle support without sudden high concentrations. This makes it particularly practical for Phalaenopsis, Vanda and other orchids with visible aerial roots, as well as for routine care of a larger collection.

How to use

Three simple steps, without mixing or measuring

For best results, use regularly 2–3 times a week.

Shake well

Orchid Myst is already diluted and ready to use. Do not add water or measure a dose.

Spray gently

Lightly cover both sides of the leaves, exposed roots and bark surface. Avoid the flowers and liquid collecting in the plant’s crown.

Repeat regularly

Apply 2–3 times a week, preferably in the morning with good ventilation so the foliage has time to dry. Continue normal watering.

Important: does not replace watering

The spray supplies nutrients and light moisture, but the orchid still needs normal watering when its growing medium requires it. About once a month, you can spray the plant with clean, lukewarm water alone to remove any residue from leaves and roots.

Also ideal for Hoyas

A practical option for Hoya care

Although Orchid Myst is designed specifically for orchids, it can also be used as a gentle supplementary feed for Hoyas. Many Hoyas grow epiphytically and form aerial roots, so a light, ready-to-use spray can supply nutrients to leaves and exposed roots. Particularly convenient for trailing or climbing Hoyas, where a watering can cannot easily reach every part of the plant.

  • Lightly mist leaves and aerial roots without soaking the plant.
  • Avoid flowers and buds, and do not apply in strong sun.
  • Test on one leaf first, especially with rare or sensitive cultivars.
  • Continue normal watering and basic Hoya care.

Safe use & storage

The mixture is not classified as hazardous according to the SDS. Store in its original container in a cool place up to 30°C, away from direct sun and children. Avoid inhaling the spray and contact with eyes.

Does it need dilution?
No. Orchid Myst is ready to use and is applied directly from the spray bottle, without adding water or measuring a dose.
Can I use it while the orchid is flowering?
Yes. It is specially designed to support flowering. Spray leaves, exposed roots and bark, avoiding the flowers themselves.
Does it replace normal watering?
No. Orchid Myst supplies nutrients through spraying, but the orchid must still be watered with clean water when the growing medium needs it.
Is it also suitable for Hoyas?
Yes. It can be used as a gentle supplementary spray for Hoyas, especially plants with aerial roots. Lightly mist leaves and exposed roots, avoid flowers and buds and test on one leaf first.
Can I combine it with a fertiliser applied through watering?
Yes. It can be included in a care programme alongside a specialist watering fertiliser such as Orchid Focus Grow or Bloom, always following each label’s dosage. Do not mix products inside the Orchid Myst bottle or increase the frequency or dose arbitrarily.
Does it work as an insecticide?
No. The official product presentation mentions ingredients with a natural repellent role, but Orchid Myst should not be treated as a curative insecticide. If there is an infestation, identify the insect first and use an appropriate, authorised plant-protection product.
