Terrarium Funnel

A wide-neck funnel with a long spout for clean, controlled layers.

W 10.2 × H 18.8 cm
100% polyethylene (PE)
For soil, carbon & stones

Clean layers begin with accurate placement. The GT164 directs soil, activated carbon and stones into the glass, reducing spills and unnecessary clean-up around the arrangement.

The wide neck makes loading easier, while the long spout brings the flow lower and closer to the selected position. It is useful during the initial build and for a local top-up because it helps keep the glass cleaner and makes the individual layers easier to define.

WHY IT EARNS ITS PLACE

Clean layers from the very first movement

A terrarium looks far more considered when soil, activated carbon and stones reach the intended position without scattering across the glass. The GT164 directs the flow lower inside the arrangement, reducing clean-up and corrections after filling.

Initial assemblyLocal top-upsSoil, carbon & stonesNarrow openings

The wide neck is easy to load without awkwardly tiny scoops.

The long spout brings the flow closer to the selected area.

Controlled filling keeps clearer boundaries between the individual layers.

Wide neck

Makes it easy to load material before it passes into the spout.

Directed flow

The long spout helps target a specific area.

Cleaner assembly

Reduces spills of soil, carbon and stones during filling.

Directed filling in three steps

Work with dry materials and small amounts for a more even flow.

01Position

Pass the spout through the opening with free space around it and guide it close to the area you want to fill.

02Add gradually

Pour small amounts of soil, activated carbon or stones and allow the spout to clear before adding more.

03Finish

Move the funnel carefully to cover the area, withdraw it slowly and level the surface with the appropriate tool.

Use guide & product details

Use, technique and care in four clear sections that remain easy to scan.

How to use it

Place the spout through the opening without pressing it against the glass. Add material in small amounts and move the funnel carefully to form an even layer.

Suitable materials

The funnel is designed for terrarium soil, activated carbon and stones. Add coarser materials gradually to keep the flow clear.

Layers with a clean outline

If your chosen build uses several materials, complete each layer before moving to the next. Break up clumps first and add coarser pieces one at a time so the flow remains clear. A gentle rotation of the spout helps distribute material in different directions without a sudden shake. Do not use the funnel to press or compact the substrate. After use, rinse it by hand and allow it to dry completely.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use it for stones?+

Yes. The funnel is designed for soil, carbon and stones. Very large pieces may not pass through the spout, so add them gradually.

Will it fit every opening?+

The spout needs comfortable clearance. Check the actual glass opening before use.

How should I clean it?+

Rinse away soil and dust after use, then allow it to dry completely before storage.
