An excellent variety of leucothoe with dense and compact growth that gives a more symmetrical shrub than other varieties.
It has lovely and highly ornamental foliage colour throughout the year: bright red new growth develops in Spring from the previous year's deep green leaves, glossy green leaves in Summer and deep red leaves in Autumn that persist throughout Winter in shades of bronze and pale red.
Suitable for planting in gardens, flowerbeds and ornamental pots, preferring positions in sun or partial shade. Hardy down to -22 °C.
