A new variety introduction (2024) from Amigo Plants, which retains all the properties of Aloe vera, in a more compact and beautiful appearance. The series, whose improvement started in 2016, includes 'Equator' (green), 'Meridiaan' (light) and 'Tropical' (variegated). It has very compact growth and can adapt to lower light and sun conditions.

The Story

Every great story has its origin. For Amigo Plant it all started in a small corner in a modest greenhouse, where the young Gerard van Langen became fascinated by succulents. But this fascination was not a fleeting childhood hobby. It was the start of an adventure that would lead to the creation of a leading company in the world of succulents. Gerard van Langen had a vision that made Amigo Plant flourish with locations in the Netherlands and Portugal. But growth was never the only goal; innovation was central. That brought them to Aloe Vera, a plant known and loved by many. Yet Gerard saw room for improvement. In 2016, the ambitious project to develop a superior variant of Aloe Vera began. After intensive research and with the help of breeding, the first prototype of the Aloe Medivera® was launched in 2019. This plant was distinguished by:

• Stability: Better resistance to diseases and environmental factors.
• Transport efficiency: Stronger plants that can better withstand the challenges of transport.
• Diversity: A wider range of varieties that differ in colour and shape.
• Light Adaptation: Improved adaptability to different lighting conditions, making them suitable for various environments.

Now, several years after the first prototype, Amigo Plant is proud to bring the Aloe Medivera® to the market. This is not just any plant. With specially designed boxes, we ensure that the plants will reach you intact, no matter what they encounter on the way!

All plants in 3L pots or larger are placed in individual boxes that secure the plant at the base of the pot, preventing it from tipping over.

The cardboard used for the boxes is specially made to provide resistance to potential impacts during transport.
