Golden Sedum.

Χαμηλής ανάπτυξης φυτό, σχηματίζει μίνι ροζέτες χρυσού χρώματος και τα άκρα των φύλλων παίρνουν κοκκινωπό χρώμα όταν εκτεθούν σε ήλιο. Λευκά άνθη εμφανίζονται την Άνοιξη.

Κατάλληλο για φύτευση σε συνθέσεις με άλλα φυτά, για βραχόκηπους και για γλάστρες, ζαρντινιέρες.

Τα σέντουμ είναι φυτά που μπορούν να επιβιώσουν ακόμα και στις πιο ακραίες συνθήκες και χρειάζονται ελάχιστη φροντίδα. Δεν είναι τυχαίο ότι είναι γνωστά με το όνομα 'stonecrop' που δηλώνει, με μία δόση υπερβολής, ότι μόνο οι πέτρες χρειάζονται λιγότερη φροντίδα από τα σέντουμ.

Often called "Golden Sedum".

It is a fast growing succulent which can reach up to 30 cm in height.

It produces long stems, on which fleshy, lanceolate, spirally arranged, green-yellowish (almost golden) leaves emerge.

With exposure to the sun, like all Sedums, this plant also takes on reddish shades.

In late winter Sedum adolphii blooms with star-shaped flowers, ranging in color from white to yellow.

This Sedum is very easy to grow, ideal for decorating your gardens and balconies.

Care

Most of the species prefer very bright places, however preferably sheltered from direct sunlight.
The lowest temperatures they resist vary a lot: some species withstand the tempretures down to 10 °C, others can resist the temperatures even down to -10 °C!
Water moderately only when the soil is completely dry. In winter, suspend watering. When placed outdoors, many species survive very well with only rainwater.
A suitable soil for succulents is fine, they do not require special requires (many species even grow in the cracks between the walls).
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
