Εξαιρετική ποικιλία που πήρε την ονομασία της από τα γυαλιστερά φύλλα του. Είναι μικρά, ωοειδή με έντονο χρώμα, κίτρινο στο εσωτερικό τους που αλλάζει σε πράσινο στην περιφέρεια τους και παίρνει πορτοκαλί χρωματισμό το Φθινόπωρο.

Συμπαγής ανάπτυξης και στρογγυλού σχήματος θάμνος, φέρνει μια δροσερή φρέσκια όψη είτε ως χαμηλή μπορντούρα ή φυτεμένος σε διακοσμητικές γλάστρες.

Εξαιρετικά εύκολο στην ανάπτυξη του, χρειάζεται ελάχιστη συντήρηση. Φτάνει σε μέγιστο ύψος και διάσταση 1m x 0,8m.

Τοποθετήστε το σε ηλιόλουστη ή ημισκιερή θέση. Αναπτύσσεται καλά στα περισσότερα γόνιμα, καλά στραγγιζόμενα εδάφη, αλλά του αρέσει περισσότερο ένα ουδέτερο έως όξινο έδαφος.

Αν και ταξινομείται ως αειθαλής θάμνος μπορεί να παρουσιάσει κάποια πτώση των φύλλων το Χειμώνα κάτω από χαμηλές θερμοκρασίες, αλλά αναπτύσσει ξανά νέα φύλλα την Άνοιξη.

Coprosma 'Lemon and Lime' is a variety of Looking Glass Plant named as such for its highly glossed leaves. It's small, ovate leaves are brightly coloured with lemon yellow on the interior changing to lime-green on the outer margins which becomes tinged with orange in autumn.

This rounded, compact and low growing shrub brings a zingy fresh look to low shrub borders or containers throughout spring and summer and a warmer aesthetic in the cooler months. It is remarkably easy to grow and needs little maintenance. It reaches a maximum height and spread of 1m x 0.8m.

Position Coprosma 'Lemon and Lime' in a sunny or semi-shaded position in a sheltered location. It will grow well in most fertile, well-drained soils but likes a neutral to acidic soil best. Although classed as an evergreen shrub, it is only semi-hardy therefore it may need some protection in winter from harsh, cold weather. Some leaf drop may occur in this time but it should bounce back again in spring. Take care not to overwater in winter.
